The humble heron: henry’s story

Henry the White-faced Heron came into the care of Wildlife Welfare Org on the 21st of October, 2020. His nest was blown from a tree in a storm and his parents were unable to be found the next day. Unfortunately Henry is the sole survivor of three siblings and was cared for by WWO ever since. Henry was five weeks old and had the attitude of a teenager as well. Henry was eating more than twenty fish each day! The cost of care was rising as he got older, up to his release date. Henry was released on the 30th December 2020 at a large wetlands south of Milang, South Australia. He flew off with ease and instantly started foraging for bugs and fish! Henry was a huge success and we wouldn’t have been able to help him without support from donations.  Are you able to help and donate to assist birds like Henry and save sick and injured wildlife?
